|
|
Hello,
Does anyone have a link to a XPe image file for a Wyse Winterm WT9450XE TC that I can load on a 6G Microdrive so that Magicjack will work properly?
It would have to have all the proper drivers embedded.
Thank You |

I am seeing conflicting reports about the 9450XE even being able to boot from a USB stick. So far I have seen it will not. Others have said it is very picky and to use 1 or 2 GB USB sticks. Another said to put the stick in the slot closer to the Ethernet connector. Others said to use larger memory sizes like 4 GB. I might be able to sort it out eventually, but so far I cannot boot from a USB memory stick. No problem booting from a USB CDRom. I have booted Linux LiveCDs and they work.
I am also trying to expand the memory so I can run MagicJack and also install .NET framework which is needed for another program I want to host on the 9450XE. It hasn't been easy to find out what will work. |

Thank You | You can download the Wyse images from their website. If you don't use their imaging software, which takes a few minutes to install on your XP or WinServer desktop but is not hard to do or use, you'll have to know how to extract what you need from their image file, or otherwise know how to get it on your drive. All of that is beyond me, so I use their WDM imaging software.
BTW, I think you can run Gen3/4 MJ on the 9450 so long as it's 512/512. I've done it briefly with a Gen 4 device and it seemed OK. I think those old early VIA C3 devices are pretty borderline for MJ, but with adequate RAM, they seem to (barely) work. |
