This is really really stupid move from Magicjack. If they want to advertise their site, they can...but they cannot block outgoing calls to somebody. If I create new conferences, I can create using this magic free conference.. but I can't force every body at ...

ASUS WL-520gU - MagicJack USB Dongle

Hello Guys,

As "ASUS WL-520gU" has got USB port, can we plug in MJ and run some ipkg in DD-WRT of this router? If we can achieve this combination, this is gonna be the best option of all.. don't have to run the computer or don't have to run MJProxy or don't have worry about MJ Future updates.

We ...

AT&T Minutes

If the caller (AT&T) calls GV number which has forwarded the call to another AT&T Cell phone.. Is it going to be AT&T - AT&T free minus ?

How does google handle the call ?

Is it a simple redirect or acting a middle man in the call ?

yah.. it sounds like a joke too.

ATA registers to Sipsorcery.. but Sipsorcery can't register to MJ (timed out error as its looking for UDP session not a sip)

Synchron,

You're awesome.. I have unchecked that "Outgoing proxy" and selected "729A".. It has been great so far.

What codecs do you use ?

By the way, you're using sunrocket firmware or got any other good firmware ? Sunrocket firmware sucks and very limited options.

Thanks a lot!!

Finally got it working. Registration goes okay.

Both incoming and outgoing work, but outgoing calls get dropped after around 3min 25seconds..

Haven't test incoming calls yet.

Do we need to open any firewall ports for MJProxy to work well ?

Thanks

Any SIP Softphone that lets you change "User-Agent"

I still din't give up hope on "User-Agent"

This is only change in my SIP data before and after.

User-Agent = MagicJack/1.80.484a (SJ Labs)
User-Agent = User-Agent: MagicJack/1.80.484a (SJ Labs)

Sounds like User-Agent: is included in the agent name itself. Not sure if anybody tried.

I am pretty sure that they imposed a NEW rule on User-Agent.

Even if you try to use old software on the MJ dongle, the User-Agent changes.. thats why old MJs kept reporting 401.

I agree that they did not restrict until now.. but they did now (in my opinion)
