It seems this thread is slowing down a lot, obviously the people still having problems can't seem to get a resolution, can we have some people that have had 100% success with the beeping to post a reply, let's try and gauge hwo bad this problem still is....

Lucky you Frank ! Unfortunately I still have the damn static, quite annoying, ISP, me thinks so.

I wonder if there will ever be a fix on this or will a few of us people including me have to go find another voip. This thread seems to be in active so i assume most got their beeps to go away.
chugg I think the general consensus was that the June 16 Fix is ultimately the only solution, it didn't ...

I was on the June 16 update, working fine, no beeps at all, then encountered some static on the line (think it was issues with my sound card drivers) But... installed the most recent upgrade to see if it would resolve the static, no dice but beeps back immediately.

Same happened to me, intermittent crackling but still very annoying.

I too have encountered a similar problem to Frank in the last week or so, start the call, static even at dial tone, call again, no static, but, as per Frank, it is more often than not, for me the problem is only heard on my end so not as bad but still very annoying, just another bump in the MJ road.

I must say, maybe it's my imagination but MJ support moved me from the LA server to the NY one, I still have a small delay but I believe it has been reduced.

Personally I had great support from whoever it is that mans the "dan@magicjack" e-mail address, they confirmed the June 16 update, I also requested to change the server I am on and this was done in a matter of hours.

My initial experience with the MJ was, well, terrible however it seems they might ...

I am on the LA server and the ping comes back in about 85-90ms, I ping the New York server in about 8-10ms, would this have anything to do with a voice delay do you think?

Just wanted to give you my input. I had a phillips headset, no caller ID problems whatsoever, switched to a Panasonic KX-TG8231CB and it didn't work.

I read lots and lots about resisters but didn't know where to start, in the end I bought a duplex from wal-mart for $6.00 and an old corded ...

I have the same beeping problem. Using a P3 processor Windows XP machine beeps about every minute. I changed the computers to a Mac Intel 2 core duo and the beeping went away on that conversation.

Might have something to do with the processor power on the computer used for the magic jack?

Has anyone else experienced a slight voice-delay, maybe 1/2-3/4 of a second delay, while it is certainly manageable it is also frustrating as you catch yourself talking over someone often.

I have gone through all the "fixes" from chat sessions, have a clean install on my pc, tested the softphone ...

Sadly no... No way to stop the LUCKY YOU updates.. Shame too as when it is finally working well one doesn't want that to change..

I would just run the above mentioned upgrade...Not the magicfix.

It fixed the beeping problem for me.. I DO, from time to time, get beeps on MY END ONLY. Not a big deal as the party to whom I am speaking to never hears them anymore. I can live with that.

I agree, I did call him on the "most" and "should" and asked when those words would turn into "will" and "all" still waiting on a response.

Oh i know, but I am at my wits end and will try anything, probably the best thing to try now is a real phone company.

I have now installed the June 16 upgrade, will keep you posted.

Also got a new response from chat support over at magicjack.com

"Apologies for your blah blah blah.... I have sent this to our engineers, I hope this issue will be resolved in 48-72 hours, I am not holding my breath on this one, also ...

Just a follow-up, I downloaded the April upgrade, still beeping consistently.

I too have had the dreaded beeping, only got the magic jack a few days ago.

I have upgraded(down graded) to the april file posted directly above, will let you know how I get on.
