@redpepper,
Do you think there is any way to influence magicJack staff, to point their attention on the need of contacts import/export?

As Android fan, I'm kind of waiting for Motorola HS1001 cordless Android phone . It will allow to use Google contacts, among other features. So, I'll forget about ...

They for sure changed something radically, most likely - switched to keeping contacts either in MagicJack device or online :(
Again, I'm totally surprised there is no public outcry about it. In my opinion, every computer-literate MagicJack user should want to synchronize MagicJack contacts with ...

No luck.

I ran downgrade utility. It disconnected MagicJack, forced me to sign in again, connected MagicJack back. It looked the same, so I'm not sure if it was downgraded at all (during process of presumably downgrading it displayed a message saying something like " up grading, likely you". I didn ...

What was changed? MagicJack? Windows 7? No AddressBook.xml

Hello! I'm not a novice computer user, I'm a software /web developer (.NET) with a long experience. However, I'm completely puzzled with this.

I installed your MagicJack Contact Importer on Win 7 64 bit machine on which MagicJack itself is running. (Note that I didn't do anything fancy with ...

magicJack as a service and a sleeping Window7

Would Win 7 machine go to sleep mode (as it does by default) if magicJack service is running?

Some windows services able to awake sleeping Win 7 PC. Could it be done that magicJack do the same? I really prefer to keep a default sleep behavior of Win 7...

Letting your computer go to sleep is not going to prolong it's life.

Why not? Hard drives are turned off, in fact - they are turned off most of the day. I'm pretty sure it will prolong their life.

Some windows services able to awake sleeping Win 7 PC. Why couldn't magicJack do the same? Then USB ...

magicJack on a sleeping Window7

I'm fairly new to all this stuff and just evaluating feasibility of magicJack.

I have computers running Win 7 (64 bit). I never turn my computers off. But, as you know, Win 7 likes to fall asleep: by default it switches to sleep mode with a monitor and hard drives turned off after 10 or 20 minutes ...
