Well, this is a bit embarrassing but I just remembered that I initiated call forwarding, sending incoming calls to my land line. Duh!!

Of course it was busy as I used the land line to call my MJ.

Perhaps this will help someone else who might make the same error.

callers get a busy signal but I can call out okay.

I installed my MJ plus about three weeks ago and it works great. Today however, I just learned that it rings busy for incoming calls.

I get almost no incoming calls on my MJ so I don’t know when this problem began.

It did work okay for incoming calls when I first set it up.

Does anyone know what ...

My A.M is set to pickup on two rings and works almost flawlessly.

The only problem being that it requires about seven seconds to reset at the end of an incoming message, and any call received before the A.M. is reset is answered instead by MJ.VM.

Thanks for the great replies. Many good points to ponder. Fortunately power outages in my area are very few and far between.

The notebook battery should provide sufficient power during an outage, but my answering machine would be out unless it was connected to some form of back-up power.

I don't ...

Getting rid of land line phone service

There are no doubt many MJ users who have dumped their land line and use MJ as their primary phone service.

If you are in this category, please let me know about any problems you may be encountering since getting rid of your land line.

EXPIRATION & RENEWAL

I think its close to a year since I installed MJ, so I will soon need to pay for additional time.

I logged into my MJ account but could not find either a renewal or expiration date.

I suppose I'll receive an email advising me of the upcoming expiration.

How much notice does MJ give users before ...

Well, I installed my Brother MFC 5890CN printer, and Word Perfect software.

Then I reboot, and the good news is that my mouse is not disabled.

THE BAD NEWS is that MJ is no longer functioning. I get a dial tone but cannot dial out or receive calls, and the softphone is no longer being shown on my ...

Last week my browser was hi-jacked.

After spending much time trying to get rid of the virus, I decided to re-install the O/S

I installed WIN-XP-SP2 and all drivers but did not install Skype, and I no longer have any problem with mouse, or anything else, freezing up when I turn on the PC!

I ...

Mouse Disabled upon Bootup

Hi, I'm a new MJ user and while it does work very well, my problem is with the mouse locking up once I get to the desktop when first turning on my PC.
The keyboard does work, however.

I can avoid this by unplugging MJ from the USB port, before rebooting. I hope this info will allow someone to ...
