The last few days my cordless phone has been acting funny.

I could make and receive calls but no one could hear me. It's a Uniden - model # inside the battery compartment says DCT646-2

It has 2 cordless phones on 1 telephone line. Needless to say I pulled an old corded phone outta the closet ...

I would also recommend the tcp/ip optimizer

I cannot remember the way it is phrased exactly, but in XP tcp/ip stacks are limited to 10 or something like that.
The optimizer removes this ...

I remember seeing these devices and then POW a ton of bad press. Especially when (at the time) emachinces was selling a complete computer for the same price.

The techies all called them crap - limited memory, limited upgradability, etc etc etc

So the public ignored them (for the price I can't say ...

I have virtualBox on 2 systems atm

My desktop AMD x2 3800+ (was using 1gb of ram and it worked great) now using 1.5gb of ram still no performance change
my desktop has 1 320gb sata with 16mb of cache, 1 80gb ATA, and a 40gb 10krpm scsi drive
8600gt 256mb

in Debian 4.0 - kernel (2.6.24) - 64-bit (with 32-bit enabled in the kernel) WINE does not work with MJ

Wine works with many programs for me, just not MJ

does anyone have any luck with setting up ac-211 for use with magicjack - there are a ton of fields and I am not sure what settings need to be used

goto yur control panel and look at the sound devices - change then back to yur sound card instead of MagicJack device

well the soft phone works perfectly in virtualbox - absolutely clear with no issues...

Yes i was using my normal phone.. but like i said very choppy

I never have tried the MJ softphone. I may as well try it and see how it performs in VirtualBox

well I got my magicjack working with innotek's VrtualBox i can call out and in.....

one problem the voice quality is choppy as hell....

I don't spose anyone has any info on whether or not MJ is gonna write *native* software for linux?

I get the proxy error if I try running it with a limited account, it only works with an Admin account.

BTW I use XP fully patched SP2

My MJ refuses to work unless I am logged on as an Admin in XP.

I get the same exact error when I try as a limited account instead of admin.

I wouldn't mind having some linux support thrown in as well. That way my phone would work while I'm working in linux.

I for one, almost never shut off my computer so the power saving don't mean much to me. I have an ATA device sitting here doing nothing and it would be beneficial for me to use it instead.

What I hate the most is the software popping up. Even using the tools that other have posted, the software ...

I read that MJ made some changes and this is no longer an easy task, anyone know a way to get the info needed now?
