One of my MJs works fine with headset. Doesnt work when I switch to telephone. Smartphone says its ready to use but when I pick up phone there is no dial tone. I can still place a call dialing on smartphone. The called person hears his phone ring but cannot hear a word I say nor I hear him.

Just thinking... maybe using the procedure posted on http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/easy-way-to-use-magicjack-without-usb-dongle-t2640.html could work. Create of set of folders for the fax, use dongle for phone. Or create a second set of folders for phone. I can't test the idea. Perhaps someone ...

I'm using MJ without the dongle after following instructions. BUT:

1. I was never asked to log in by providing email address and password

2. My softphone now has a message saying "Please activate your magicJack™ to continue..."

Aside of that, all is working fine.
