Microsoft, Apple, and other vendors Linsys, Cisco etc. offer upgrades and down grades if upgrade causes problem.

Magic Jacked us and destroyed the ability to use equipment purchased; that did work before "Lucky To Be Screwed" If they do not allow down grades then the money we have saved should be ...

Your Right, I checked the Ma output 500 per usb so will see. Kinda like Magic Jack $19.00 a year for a phone seems to match $4.00 per usb hub.

If no go the off to ebay. But who's kidding who all the USB Hubs are China Inspired.

At this point I feel that the chrome plated plastic is probably adding stray capacitance to the circuit card which may be mucking around with the input circuits impedance. I will run some additional tests when time permits.

I removed the case and tested still dial tones do not work with Panasonic ...

I have a very expensive Panasonic KX-TG4000B 4- line that worked flawlessly with MJ until the recent LUCKY TO BE SCREWE....I mean YOU.


I have to initiate every outbound call through the MJ Soft Phone cannot dial out only hear the dial tone no touch tones initiate dial.

PS - Kokkos, I agree with you but there are a lot more people upset about it (IMHO) than Dan ever imagined. Not to cut Ret and myself out of a good deal but you might just wait until Jan, 2 2009. It may just have been a poor decision on how to " load shed ".

I was going to configure for Clients personal use but not after experiencing PT "Dan" MagicJack Barnum trade practices. Limiting calls by 30 then 60 minutes with no noitification except on how LUCKY we were.

I was cut off today in a Go To Meeting call at 60min. Area code 713

And the call was a dial out from MJ to a 215 Go To Meeting area code.

This is very frustrating!

How does MJ think anyone who values their phone conversations will put up with a 60min time limit?

Obviously they don't advertise it ...

My wife was cut off yesterday after 60 minutes. When she tried to call back the ringer sounded line an old timy phone echoing with no one answering.

We use our phone, but no more or less than the average family.

Does anyone have anything from the Magic Jack sign up process that states their ...

Thanks, after reading some other posts looks like USB power reduced to bring better voice quality at sacrificing functionality.

I just started MJ last month, so I am not sure what to do. If I were 1 month from the end of my term, I think I would cut my losses and chuck it in the garbage, unless MJ does something big to fix these problems in the next week or two.

I too have a very expensive 4 line Panasonic phone that now cannot dial out anymore. You can hear the dial tone and when dialing the touch dial pad it just beeps the touchpad tones no dialing. I have a very inexpensive Panasonic 1 line phone that can dial out.

Anyone else cannot access voicemail after upgrade? When dialing from panasonic phone connected to maigcJack used to dial number and * to access voicemail.

No phone dials the goes back to Dial Tone.
