I have the same problem with my MagicJack. Mine worked for about 2 weeks, then started having the problem, where in order to start dialing, I had to use the softphone. I went through 3 hours of tech support chat, and finally convinced them to send me a new unit. The new one worked fine for three ...

Still not working...
Unfortunately, I have the same problem, and neither of the above posted fixes worked.
Interesting note: I had MagicJack send me a replacement, which worked perfectly for one week. Now, I'm back to the same issue of only being able to dial out, using the soft phone.

I can't dial out with a phone, either...
I spent three hours in online chat with MJ support last night for the same thing.
I can dial out with the soft phone. I can call into the line. If I try to dial out, using a regular phone, the MJ doesn't seem to recognize the touch tones, and continues to sound the dialtone.
