No output/audio input device found!
I have NO idea what happened. It has been working fine for months. I've made no changes to my system, and then all of a sudden I'm getting this stupid area. Tech support has been useless. I've upgraded, tried to run the recovery tool, etc. It also won't let me switch to telephone for some reason. I'm running this on XP. Appreciate any help!

My computer is running XP SP2, and it doesn't work anymore. I had mine running for the last 8 days, then yesterday it gave me that Audio Device message too. I have made no changes... or even used the computer for anything.
I tried it on a much newer machine at work today (also running XP SP2), and it worked like a charm. Then I bring it back home, and it doesn't work again. What is it about my computer that MJ doesn't like...

the only thing i can think of is to revert to an older software version. i'm running my mj on an old comp i built years ago that i lost the audio driver disc that came with the motherboard. so i had to find an older version of ac 97 audio codec . after downloading it and restoring sound to my comp i then installed mj and thats when i got the no audio message. i thought what the @ell. thats when i found a thread here about installing sp2 and it has worked great since. but as far as your problem you can try the older software version , also what audio codec do you have installed? realtech ac97 works for me. i dont have a sound card just the onboard audio .

I just started getting this message too
I just started getting this message too. I think its a magicjack problem. Never had this in the past 3 months I've been using this.
I have been running the same software for 3 months with no changes and now suddenly I get the same "no output/input audio devices are found!" I think MJ engineering has changed something this weekend?????

Are you running on a Thin Client? If the new update was auto-installed you will have to down grade to the previous update version.cameraman wrote:I have been running the same software for 3 months with no changes and now suddenly I get the same "no output/input audio devices are found!" Also check in the control panel and make sure under sound and Audio Devices that all the default sound devices are pointing to your sound card. Under no circumstances should any of those items be pointing to USB Internet Phone by TigerJet.

That must be it, I am on a thin client and havn't touched it for a month or so and it has been running just fine until this weekend. The drivers all are correct, I changed them to point at tigerjet but that didn't help so I switched it back to sound card driver. I didn't think that would help but I gave it a shot. I deleted the mj directory and let it reload but no help there. I will check to see if the thin client did an auto install. Thanks, HolmanGT

Ok now I'm lost, the thin client shows I am running service pack 2 version 2002 of windows xp embedded. What exactly do I need to revert back to? I did notice the warning about sp3 on the magicjack softphone.

Possible attempt to disable thin client issues
Do you think this might have been a possible attempt to disable the use of thin clients? Or just a compatibility goof?

I have already been their in my thinking also. I believe I can give you an unequivocal NO! I am currently working with MJ Engineering on this problem and the fact that I am using thin clients has only seemed to peak their interest in why it is not working.
I have already receive from them several "Try this" emails, none of which worked so they escalated my problem up and I am now talking with a guy they must be a Ymax employee and seems very knowledgeable.
If they had any problems with the Thin Clients they would have told me to take a hick.
Also I sell Thin Clients to older people that just want MagicJack and to be able to check their email. This allows them to use something small, simple and to the point. Also (obviously) none of these type of users have any plans of disconnecting their monitors or keyboards. Which is something anyone could do with last years computer that is sitting in the attic.
Hope this puts your mind at rest - I know it did for me.

Good to hear! Now if I can just get rid of the "black helicopters" that follow me.
I figured it was just a compatibility issue but then I allowed my mind to run wild with thoughts of a C-O-N-spiracy - maybe they didn't like the fact that their ad windows would be hidden like on a ATA device.
Thanks for the info and contributions!
