Caller ID to Handset?

Post by Road_ »

Question:

My computer recognizes the caller ID, but is there a way to get it to show up on the Handset?

Thank You,

That has been discussed at some length elsewhere on the forum. For some reason when I use my MJ on my laptop, caller ID does not display on the phone, but when I am running MJ on my T5700 thin client, it shows up just fine.

Some folks have had luck placing a 100K ohm resistor across the red and green wires of the phone line. Do a search and you will find may details.

EDIT-- There is actually a sticky in the technical support forum.

My Caller ID shows up on both my softphone and my cordless handset. My MJ is connected via my laptop.....this is with no mods such as the 100 ohm resistor.

The issue may be with the phone you are using......I'm connected with a Uniden Dect 6.0. Might also try a different USB port.
