I have followed the directions to change the canned voicemail msg when we don't pick up the phone but it still remains the canned mseeage.

I can record my own message and hear it when done but when I try it , I have the canned msg still.

I must be doing something wrong.. Help

Dial your number and when you start to hear your recorded message, hit *, enter your password, and when you start to hear the options, hit 0, then hit 4

Record the message you want others to hear when your away. After your through with recording your message, hit #

You'll be able to listen to your message, change it.....exit the VM and dial your number again and you will hear the new message you just recorded.

Often times when I call my VM I hit * and it ignores anything I hit. Very useless.

That is the way it's supposed to work. It just doesn't. I also can't call my line from another phone and press * to get my messages. It just ignores the *. It is supposedly being worked on.

I just did it last night. It worked fine using a normal landline. Maybe you should try a different phone, especially if you're using MJ to make the call. Maybe issues with the touch-tone handling of MJ.

That is strange since I've never had any issues getting into my VM from either my MJ phone or any other landline and my cell phone.
