personal voicemail message

Post by xman1 »

I have followed the directions to change the canned voicemail msg when we don't pick up the phone but it still remains the canned mseeage.

I can record my own message and hear it when done but when I try it , I have the canned msg still.

I must be doing something wrong.. Help

I have the exact same issue. I've tried tech support a few times and have now emailed Dan. Richard, the "magicJack Tech Support Manager" has been working with me. At least he admits that it's on their side and not a problem with my setup. The chat people are worthless.

You may be selecting the wrong key for entering your outgoing message.....

Try this:

When you call your phone and you start to hear your message, hit the * key and enter your password as you normally would.

Hit the 0 key and then the 4 key...........record your outgoing message.

Close out of the VM setup and try calling your number again.....you will hear your latest message you recorded. This will be the message your callers will hear.
