I have Frontier Communications for my business phones at one of my offices and One Communication at the second office. I can call my MJ home number from any line at the OC office, from any Verizon landline and and from my Verizon Wireless cell.. but any calls using the Frontier Communication service result in the message "We're sorry but that number is not in service. Or'' you must first dial "1" etc. etc. When I try dialing the "1" i get the dreaded Beeps and the "not in service" message. It is a local number I called Frontier and they said it was a "tableing issue" and I had to speak to "repairs"
Ordinarily this would not be a problem as most people call our cells anyway but I live in Frontier Country and all my neighbors are unable to call our MJ (which is now our home phone. Anyone else have this happen?
Thanks...
Local phone company does not "recognize my number"

Thanks...I did call them and they said they would have it fixed by Monday or to call back. Lets see what happens. I did mention VOIP but not "magic jack" The rep said there should be no reason the number wouldn't work. When Sprint first came here they had a "new" exchange and Frontier also took awhile and some encouragement to recognize it as a local number. Love my home MJ ...it would be nice to call it from work. Thanks for the input.
Friontier Doesn't Have "Agreement" with Ymax??? He
What the heck does this mean and how do fix it? I live in an area served by Frontier Communication. My MJ phone number is a "new" exchange in our area code. (315). If I give this number out to the neighbors etc they cannot call it. They will get the "this number is not in service " message.
Here is my question? How do I get Frontier to get along with Ymax and get some kind of agreement?? We worked so hard to get this to work....this is just one last frustration!
Should I pass this along to the tech. support forum? There are people there who seem to know how to get things done.
