check Disk
I have had my Magic Jack for almost a year now and all of a sudden I plugged it in my usb port on two different computers and I get this window coming up that said I need to check the disk. I ran it for errors and it sais the errors are repaired but still not opening up to the dial pad. Is there a way for me to replace the Magic Jack without paying for a new one ? or am I stuck with this bad one? Any suggestions as to what I can do would be helpful. At this point I am pretty desperate.

Reformat the HD on your MJ, then remove the unit and reinsert it, then run the update pgm on your MJ.
No, you can't get another one for free, if you can't get this one to work, you will have to buy another one.
The other thing that could be messed up is the autostart is not working, try opening your 'my computer' and clicking the MJ drive that has the autostart icons in it and click the icon.

well since they had new area codes I changed my number and that cleared out the errors and now it works again.
I am wondering how that happened and I am thinking maybe my mailbox is full and that is why it stopped working. I noticed my Magic Jack pie was full. Could this be why it failed to work in the first placed?
