Calling France

Have tried and tried to get through to a home phone in France (Normandy). Even had them call us back. Could never get an acceptable connection.

Having no problems with the same calls using a VOIP phone with Skype.

(I have Cox broadband running 5meg download and 2.5 upload consistently)

unless you have some kind of outside international calling you cannot call another country from your magic jack but if you were to send a magic jack to france with your local number on it you can then call that number and it will work fine as far as a good connection it all depends on your internet speed if you have a good conection it should work fine i sent my fiance a magic jack in romania so we could talk without outrageous long distance bills and it works flawlessy for her to call me and for me to call her and we have had some calls for over 3 hrs and never a glitch

I sent a new MJ to France along with an $9 US telephone from Walmart.

The combo works great !!

Screw walmart get free after rebate phones from staples and crap every month almost. I have a frickin stack. Those walmart ones are crap. But anyway have fun!

I paid $ 20 to buy international minutes and got 1000 minutes to call Belgium (Primarily). I have had no problems at all. Two cents a minute isn't bad.
