ATA used without PC?

ATA used without PC?
Will ATA allow me to use MagicJack without PC? Will phone attached ring even if I don't have my computer on? As long as I attach it to my Modem? I have a Linksys 200 Gateway.

I just found this under ( I have a couple of stupid Questions)
