MAGIC JACK WILL NOT WORK WITH LINUX OPERATING SYSTEM??

Got my brand new Eee 7 inch pc in this morning. Super fast connection speed under 30 seconds for WiFi but---I plugged in my Magic Jack in the USB and it says No path to connect??/ Can any one help? It works fine in my other 2 notebook ps running windows?? I thought it would install easy on any pc?? Thanks, Bluejammatt

Nope - no Linux support..... yet. Supposedly its in the plans so it might come out someday.

I wanted to just say thanks for the fast reply to my question about my new Eee pc with the Linux system...I use my pc's on wifi only and ive ordered a new ac powered usb hub. I sometimes have a problem with getting bumped off line as soon as I plug my magic Jack in as im running a usb powered Motorola external usb antenna as the wifi signal is weak with out it. Ive also ordered a usb powered Lap top Cooling ehaust fan to set under my pc ....I hope this will make my usb ports more stable?/ Does anyone know if it will help ?? Thanks, Bluejammatt

My wife & I are going on a cruise to Europe in Nov. All the ships now have Wifi. I wonder if ill be able to make calls with my magic jack in International Waters with my notebook pc on wifi?? We will be at sea 23 days and will spend 6 days on land in Italy. Do I just dial a U.S. area code to phone the U.S.?? Once on a crossing from Cork Ireland a Purser ( Girl at the Ft. Desk) Gave me a cable to plug into in my cabin and I was online free all the way back to Nova Scotia..Thanks, Bluejammatt

Don't count on MJ working on your cruise. Those ships have got to be using a Satellite internet connection which has crazy latency. But you might as well try it for grins.
