Help "About MagicJack"

Post by Mudgemania »

Maybe this is being picky, but, it would be helpful if they had a
Help "About MagicJack" dropdown selection where you could check
to see which version (build) of MJ you're currently running.

Anybody else think that would be a helpful enhancement?

Yes - that would be very useful. Likewise the ability to obtain various versions of the software would be great since all to many times I've read about folks applying an upgrade (or having one applied via a restart) and something breaks that used to work fine.

I concur. It would be very helpful if there was a page on their website to view a build-history of all version upgrades as well as fixes that have been made for each version. That way you could possibly rollback to a previous version, if needed.
How would we let them know that these enhancements to their product and website would be helpful to the end-user community? Possibly email [email protected]?
Thanks for your comments.
Have a good weekend!!

Well until that happens, we will have to go to the application data folder and check the properties of magicjackloader.exe

And I'm pretty sure Dan comes on this website and reads allot of what has been posted. So when emailing him with your ideas for improvement, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Connecting to Magic Jack tech chat

Post by dlharm »

I have tried many times to connect to the "24hr, 7days a week" tech support and always get a "server not available or timed out-server not responding" message. Anyone else with this problem?

Caller ID doesn't show on my phone

I'm using a Panasonic KX-TG5439 and the caller ID doesn't show up on the phone - any suggestions? The sound quality it excellent, but caller ID would be nice.

No. I have been able to get on quickly the last two days.
