If you enter 4 numbers in to magic jack and wait 10 seconds does it dial the 4 numbers?
If so and figure out a way to disable the auto dial feature let me know how to do it

My first inclination is yes, it does dial these numbers just as you would be dialing on a regular telephone line. Once you push the buttons, the system reads the tone or whatever information is transmitted over the line so voip would be no different. I'm not sure; however, what you mean when you mention autodial. Autodial is the click and dial portion of your phone list just as speed dial would be on a regular line.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.

I'm not too sure what he means by "autodial", either. It looks to me like he's asking if theres a way to force magicJack to NOT call the number you have dialed until you've entered the complete phone number (10 digits)...
I suppose this would enable you to take your sweet ass time dialing, not having to worry that it might start calling before you have entered all of the numbers.
So If this is what you are asking...
Then I'm not too sure if you can turn that off. Turning it off is definitely not a feature that is included with the magicJack, and I have never even heard of this being done. Infact, I never even thought of turning it off. But I guess it may be possible with some software engineering or something like that.
Yes the magicjack does dial if you enter 4 digits and then just leave it. Of course, you can't really call anyone with a 4 digit phone number so, chances are, these calls wont go through to anyone.
Usually if you don't dial enough numbers you will hear: "In order to complete this call, you must dial the area code and the phone number. Thank you for using magicJack."
or
"You have reached the YMAX Communications test number, this call was successful"
(accompanied by some weird tones at the beginning and end of the recording)
