When I try to call cell phones from my magicjack, and they are turned off it will just ring and ring.
After percisely 54 seconds, it will hang up and give me a dialtone. This happens weather they have voicemail or not. Usually if you're using a normal phone if they dont have voicemail it will give you a message from the telco that the user is unavailable. I have only been dialing cell phones located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (403 area code). Also, I have only tried FIDO, ROGERS, and SOLO MOBILE (Bell).
MY MJ AREA CODE = 601
...anyone else have this problem?

Depending on the number called and how the call is routed, you may get a fake ring sound, probably from one of MJ's gateway switches to the PSTN. If the other side never answers (returning "answer supervision"), you'll just get that fake ring that never quits.
However, if the other side answers, the ringing stops and the call is connected all the way through.
I've seen some calls that ring forever, while others you get a "no answer disconnect" message from an AT&T tandem after one minute of ringing, which is odd because if you dial 700-555-4141, you get a Qwest LD verification recording!
