Do I HAVE to accept the call on my desktop to answer?

Post by elexem »

I have looked all over this forum & tried MJ support several times (ha!) but I have not found an answer to this issue: When my MJ phone rings I get a popup that says I need to accept or ignore the call. Occasionally I am able to answer the call by simply pressing TALK on my handset, but most of the time I have to go to my desk & hit the "accept" button. Can this be disabled? Can this be resolved by running MJ as a service? I tried the MagicBlock program to no avail.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe try a hard-wired phone. I have no issues answering calls by just picking up the cordless Uniden handset.

I have AutoSizer configured to hide both the main soft-phone body as well as that answer/ignore dialog.

Like so:

Make sure to set MagicJack to minimize to tray.

Thank you for the quick responses! I am now running MJ as a service & haven't had the popup again. However, I've only been able to check a few phone calls - my Magic jack troubles are wearing out the friends I've called repeatedly to ask to test my MJ
I am running MJ though a cordless vtech dect 6.0 & if that "answer/ignore" popup comes up again I'll definitely try the Auto Size - it looks likea good solution!
