i had a nice setup where MJ was plugged into the switchboard for my whole house. it has been working just fine for a couple of months now. all of the sudden it stopped working and now it will only ring if i plug in 1 single phone.
recently i changed my phone # to a new area code. could that have caused this?
i understand there was also a recent software update. has anybody had a similar problem since that update was released?
is it possible to rollback the software and try an old build?
thanks.
multiple ringer setup recently stopped working

yes i've tried a powered hub. no joy.
i've only tried 1 phone and that 1 did ring. its as if as soon as i plug into the switchboard things go haywire. but, i can call out using the switchboard so i know that the switchboard connection itself is good.
whats strange is that the incoming call behavior is different each time when plugged into the switchboard. either:
1) it will not pick up at all, until vmail picks up (most prevalent)
2) it will pick up, i will hear static for 10 secs and then it will disconnect
3) it will pickup and disconnect immediately OR
4) it will actually ring through 1x to all phones and then disconnect (rare)

Adding a 100K resistor to the Tip & Ring of the RJ11 jack fixes the incoming caller-ID *NOT* displayed issue (on the attached phone). Basically, by adding a resistor to the phone line, it lowers the cadence of the ringing signal that also carries the caller-id information during the ringing cycle, enough that the phone could "read" the caller-ID signal and displays the caller-ID correctly.
The 100K resistor fix is discussed here:

This trick solved my no-caller-id issue. Note that the MJ softphone alsways displays caller-ID correctly, however, for some folks, caller ID is not working on the attached real phone.
