MagicJack Linux Driver
Hi guys!! recently I was speaking with the Costumer Service of magicjack asking for a driver to linux.
and they said to me, that the engineers are preparing a driver for linux. I think is good idea if all we pressed them a little bit.
by the way i am making a new forum called LinuxMission, the purpose is to ask to each manufacturing of hardware, that understands that the linux community is growing fast ,and they should begin to think about drivers for linux and not only for mac's.
**excuse my english please

Re: MagicJack Linux Driver
The Linux community has done a fantastic job providing high quality drivers in the absence of manufacturer support. I see this as a good thing, the manufacturers at best would only give us garbage, like what they turn out in Redmond, WA.spiderman4 wrote:Hi guys!! recently I was speaking with the Costumer Service of magicjack asking for a driver to linux.

"Looking for a new job. I have worked for Adelphia, Enron, Health South, Worldcom, and most recently British Petroleum."
Could you give a walkthrough of the settings? I successfully configured Ekiga 3.0.1 (although outgoing calls don't work for some reason) but I can't even get Twinkle to register. (I was able to get Twinkle to register with ekiga.net, but the magicJack settings are harder.)gnimsh wrote:XLite for linux is a pain. Twinkle's much easier.
Edit: Never mind, I found you did it already:

I never would have guessed some of the settings, but it works for both incoming and outgoing calls now. Thanks for the writeup.
