wifi voip phone

Has anyone tried entering their sip creds into a wifi voip phone like a UTStarcom F1000?

Kind of courious about this phone. It looks like this is a vonage phone. Is it locked to vonage? Meaning do you have to crack the password in order to add your own sip credentials? I see them on ebay for around 50 bucks. Wanted more information on this before I spend the money. I do not want to use vonage service at all.
