MJ not working on XP sp2
I am having trouble with my computer running XP sp2., it will not load. I was able to load it on my daughters laptop, she has Vista. After loading it on hers and registering and getting a phone number, I thought I would be able to use it on emy computer, but agin it would not load. I worked wth the help desk last week for about 7 hrs and they were not able to help either. Was wondering if anyone else has some ideas. I am ready to return it, because I do not want it running on her laptop. Thanks.
You can d/l from microsoft an autorun repair utility here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
It may help if your problem is disabled autorun.
If that doesn't fix the problem... try an ac powered usb hub. They're pretty cheap and will provide stable power to the MJ.

Thanks for the info. I downloaded the autorun fix and in the process discovered that my dvd drive is not working. I think I may have either formatted the drive and/or removed Roxio(while performing the fixes for Mj from the agents), so now I am working on getting this back first.I think it may have to do with the MJ not loading, because when I connect the MJ it shows up on drive E, which is normally the CD/DVD drive. If I look at the Cd ROM drive under hardware/device mgr, it shows a yellow explanation point on it. If I right click and display properties it says the drive may be corrupt or missing(error 39). Anyways, thought I would just go back a week and do a restore, but every time I try the restore, it comes back and tells me I cannot restore to this date. I have tried 6 or 7 different dates already, and none of them work. Not sure why. I have also looked in windows fixes for error 39 and it says to run this windows guided help program which I think I will try. Any other suggests?
