Get Ready for "Internet 2"
Do you like public forums and sharing you thoughts and opinions? Well, Time Warrener, Comcast and a few others are now starting to sensor the Internet in the US.
Their Planed Method of attack:
1) Start with blocking websites that voice public concerns and opinions (This is happening now, just like what's being done in China).
2) The government will be offering free broadband wireless service... but you must wave your right and be tracked and controlled.
2) They will purposely stop supporting the current Internet infrastructure and allow it to fall apart so the the new "censored and controlled version" will replace it.
3) You will be limited to several hundred websites to view and engage in favoring corporate profits and snuffing us all out.
Please watch the Alex Jones show to understand their plans are, the impact this will create and what you can do to help.

BTW, those red squiggly lines under most of your words mean that should spell check. Just point your mouse at the underlined word and right-click with your mouse to get a list of possible correct spellings.

Spell check is the cool deal. But if I may suggest, why not rent a couple of movies this weekend, and watch them in this order:tellmeall wrote:Got it. The hell with in the world, we got spell check!

2) Biloxi Blues
There are subtle messages to be found in both that may inspire you.

Tellmeall, I can help you. Place your PC in DMZ, that is a setting in your router. Find out how to do this if you don't already know. Then, send me a private message with your IP address. I will then load software onto your computer that will provide any immunity that you may now or in the future need to protect you from any invasion of your privacy, governmental or private, and will also allow you unrestricted access to any and all websites, any and all other internet services at your discretion heretofore and forever as the foreseeable future presents.tellmeall wrote:Do you like public forums and sharing you thoughts and opinions? Tellmeall, your intentions are probably well meaning. You are probably also a youngster, hence the rude vernacular.
In 1898 a fellow by the name of H.G. Wells wrote a book entitiled "War of the Worlds". In 1938 a paraphrased rendition of that story was read over live radio, television was still under development.
Many people, after hearing the live broadcast of "War of the Worlds" believed the planet earth was under attack by Martians. Chaos in the areas that received this broadcast ensued. This was in the grand old days of AM broadcast, at night a signal could be heard from hundreds of miles away.
I could go on, about how Adolf Hitler agitated a nation into a world war via use of media. And on we go, never learning the lessons history teaches.
Always give some doubt to anything you read or hear regardless of type of communication type until you can verify its truthfulness by any standard, but especially your own.
"If they say it on TV it has to be true". BULLSH* Ever hear of the first amendment? If you believe this then you are the sucker.
The first amendment is a guarantee against criminal prosecution for anything you may say. Civil law is a different matter.
People have their various agendas, and it usually has to do with money or notoriety, hence the eventual end of money. You are only a slave if you allow yourself to be a slave. Who are you enslaved by, the media? Well, they do your thinking for you don't they?

Seriously though guys, do your research, this isn't that far from the truth, many ISP are limiting bandwidth, especially of users who use a lot of badwidth, and large companies do want you to pay for everything you do on the internet. Right now its very uncontrolled, and difficult to make money off of, the ISPs aren't happy with that. Seriously just do a little research.

Yeah, that's in full swing ... first they blocked certain ports (SMTP and HTTP) so you couldn't run servers too easily. Now some are limiting bandwidth or charging by bandwidth usage -- and using those limitations to force people off or convert people to business accounts.Swansen wrote:Seriously though guys, do your research, this isn't that far from the truth, many ISP are limiting bandwidth, especially of users who use a lot of badwidth, and large companies do want you to pay for everything you do on the internet. honestly though, i think a lot of it has to do with general congestion, our coaxial backbones can't handle all of the bandwidth, especially from ever widening broadband support, the ISPs can't deal with the traffic. Which is really stupid as they had/ (have??) the money given to them to update everything, corporate greed...

There, i just did most of the research for you, now all you have to do is read it, if you can't be bothered with that, then i don't see any point in you replying. Sorry if i sounded rude, but like i had said months ago, do the research, its out there, TONS is it. This IS a "real" problem, i don't think you understand the gravity of the situation, ISPs and Tel providers want to control everything you do on the internet and make you pay for it, pay for access to sites, and control which websites you look at, it would be like the world wide pay per view. It isn't a game, this is just Corporate US or whatevers attempted at more control, and greed.

Swansen, we do understand. We are worried.
Now, what are you going to do about it, besides become paranoid and/or bitter?
When you have some constructive ideas we'll listen. We don't want to hear fear, we want to hear how to make changes to take away corporate power over our lives, and to limit politicians so they don't steal our money.
If you can't fix it, don't complain to us about it, that's all.

i'm not complaining or freaking out, i'm informing. If you had taken the time to look through the link, there is information there on what to do to help the situation. I wouldn't bother explaining, but oh well, i don't think anyone will actually take the initiative to do research anyways. SO, write to your state representative or call, sign petitions, be active in discussion groups and be active in the process for net neutrality, join mailing lists, ect, for the rest and more info READ.

Actually, this isn't far off from the truth.
As for Alex Jones, check out his "war of the worlds broadcast" on December 31st 1999 bringing in the millennium where he went completely out of his mind and claimed that Russia had launched intercontinental missiles with multiple warheads at the United States of America and actually panicked millions of people who where packing up their belongings and running for the hills!
Accourding to Jones, cash machines and ATM's where failing, power plants where blowing up and shutting down, Russia and China had been threatening to nuke us, then at the end of the show he claimed they pushed the button... All because of Y2K. hahaha.
And now he claims that he always knew Y2K would amount to nothing.
I could go on and on and on and on.
Alex Jones is a joke.
