Clear extender

Hi,
I am new to the forum, but I have owned my mj since February2008 and I was wondering, what do you guys think about using the device with the included (clear) usb extention? I know you all are high end users and this may be a simpleton question but I use mine religiously from my laptop and I had a replacement sent to me(after struggling with liveperson chat-and eventually emailing Dan) because of the severe bending of the usb plug. I don't want that to happen to me again because it's my primary house phone line.
What other suggestions or alternatives (other than a thin client- I can't afford it right now) do you guys have to using the mj without plugging it into my dell latitude D630 and having it bend?

I use the included extender with my thin client and MJ with no problems.

Okay good to know because someone told me that using extenders make the call quality lesser than if I were to plug in the magicjack directly into the computer.

All I've heard is that the cables are not the highest quality, and that moving them during a call can cause interference or termination of the call.

Never heard of call degradation just from having the cable between the MJ and the computer.

I've always used the cable. Never a problem, so haven't tried it without.

I have used that extender from day one on both the regular computer as well as the ThinClient. Have yet to see where it has caused any problems for me.
