MagicJack keeps crashing and rebooting mid conversation!!

This is driving me NUTS!! My MJ was working fine for 2 months, then last week it started crashing and rebooting itself 5 mins into a conversation. then after it reboots itself it crashes again after two mins.. and then it won't reboot anymore!!!



I'm so mad. 40 mins with support and their sending me a new one.

If you're using the pigtail USB cable that came with it, I'd try not using it. My MJ reboots if I move it around because the cable doesn't seat tightly with the MJ device. A little movement and it's like I unplugged it, and plugged it back in.

My USB extension cable worked fine for a while, then all of a sudden this exact thing happened. It seems that whenever I moved the cable it would unplug and plug in again.

They seem to be pretty cheap.

Now my magicjack covers all four of my usb ports on the back of my computer

I went out and bought a quaility usb extension cable (female on one end male on the other) works everytime...

Hi all here is another software interaction that will crash your pc AT BOOTUP .. my program anydvd will look at any removeable drive (MJ) so if you have anydvd program go into it and uncheck the option for the MJ drive and remember to do it everytime you unplug/plug it in ...
As for this thread .. Yes i have noticed the connection problems in the extension ... also at the tele end ...

And who are these people running this site (UNOFFICIAL???) if we screw up our pc or MJ who is responsible ??? at least its better than there FAQS that dont show cr**p

Out of curiosity. Are they making you send anyone back... Or did they charge you for shipping or anything? I remember getting it replaced a few months back and I didn't have to do anything. But, I was just wondering if they are starting to b**ch about it now.
