I tip my hat to MJ once again

Post by ret27m »

I tip my hat to MJ once again..

I called AT&T this morning to cancel my landline and when asked why, I told them that I was now using a VOIP service, she said "may I ask who" and I told her MagicJack, she then asked me if I would be willing to keep my landline for 6 months FREE and get a $20.00 discount on my DSL for the next 6 months making my total monthly bill $23.00 before taxes. I told her that would be exellent as long as there were no strings attached, she assured me NO strings. I called back an hour later to confirm what my new monthly payment would be and sure enough I was informed $23.00 per month. So MJ has ended up saving me even more than I expected with the additional $120.00 in DSL savings. For now LIFE IS GOOD. :D

I *love* it! I wonder if MJ is putting even a slight dent in their business or if that's just standard operating procedure to keep from losing to any competitor.

Thanks for sharing. I'm enjoying your win vicariously.

I'll be crying gator tears if MJ goes out of BIZZ, our local bestbuy and rat shack puts you on a waiting list if you want one...they cant keep them on the shelves, and in todays economy its all about saving money. So even with MJ's faults I'm happy to be saving BIG BUCKS

Cost of unlimited long-distance calls: 20$/year
Experience of telling your old phone company to jump in the lake: priceless.

tspeer, it isn't actually unlimited.

But I sure join with you in this sentiment:
Experience of telling your old phone company to jump in the lake: priceless.
