When can I transfer my current home phone number to MagicJac

Several months ago when I signed up for MagicJack they said I could transfer my current landline number later this year. This is later this year, but no word on that. Any news?

I emailed dan borislow the inventor of magicjack and he told me there is no eta on the number porting but hopefully sometime in 2009.

The answer is basicly never. I think they will be out of business before they get to number porting. But that's just my opinion.

Agreed- they promised in the beginning of 08, I was promised live from a tech BY end of 08 back in September, now website says sometime in 09. I don't think it's coming, and unless the TOS changes when it comes, I wouldn't do it- the current TOS says you cannot take a number from them.
