From the closeup shots, these look like the old hardware version as I don't see a white chip. Can anyone tell which one these are? I'll pass if they're the original release versions.

Is there a thread on here listing the difference between the new version and old version? I never even knew there was more than one. Does the the new version have a hardware advantage over the old?

After comparing my own to the closeup, it actually is the same.. because of the shot angle the white chip above the J looks more silver. The 2nd version supposedly fixed the echo problem with the old units and possibly more.
