First Activation question

Hello everyone i just got a new MJ but i have one using it rigth now so im not interest in make it active the newone rigth now so can i keep this and activated when i want it without no problem or this have any time limit sence the purchase date

i wanna be sure jeje thank

Did you buy it from a local outlet or did you order it from the MJ website..just curious..It should be fine and start your year the day you activate it.

Directly from MJ a friend in orlando make the order and send it to me here in colombia, so its ok if i keep it a few month until i want make the activation... i hope so...

I'm positive that the local retail outlet MJ's start the day you first activate them, I THINK I read a post awhile back saying that the MJ's from the MJ website didnt start the year until you plug it in and activate it...that being said I dont want to lead you down the wrong road, I'll see if I can find that post for you so you will know for sure.

I don't think she was asking when the year started, but if she could delay first using and registering the device, to start the year's service.

I doubt there is any significant limit to when a unit can be first used. We've seen old version 1 units sold on eBay and Goodwill. And, MagicJack can't even keep track of the additional years purchased. They require the user to receive an email and enter the "redemption code" into the my.magicjack.com account portal.

I doubt there's much chance that they're tracking the amount of time between when a unit is shipped and first used. There's no way they could do that for units sold through Best Buy and Radio Shack (and through all the authorized distributors).

If it were me, I wouldn't worry about it. If I was the worrying type, I'd go to chat support and ask. Print out the chat session in case the later experience doesn't match what they said. (That might act as a small amount of protection.).

Thank a lot ret27m so far i know it most activate the day be connected for the firs time but as you said i wanna be for sure dont be waisting time of use jeje...
