Inbound Caller Id not working after recent upgrade

I found out the upgrade reduces the power of the signal coming out of the USB, so there is probably not enough power for your caller id display.
I used MJ through my house wiring with three phones, and I had to unplug one of the phones to get the other two phones to continue to ring, after the upgrade.

Can the softphone reduce the power to the USB? Or, do you think it's doing something to cause the USB device to consume more power, like sending it more instructions, a higher sampling rate, etc?dz20854 wrote:I found out the upgrade reduces the power of the signal coming out of the USB, so there is probably not enough power for your caller id display.

I'm sure that's what s/he does.emiliomcol wrote:if magicjack really is taking power from the jack simply chek on the softphone caller ID
But it's nice to have caller ID on your phone, considering not everyone is constantly by their computers.
I'm guessing the only way for you to get caller ID now is to either buy an AC powered USB hub, use a different phone or buy a 10k transistor.
Does an AC powered USB hub work in this situation ? Can anyone confirm ,seems plenty of people are having this problem post upgrade.
Will this work ?
