Since my computer no longer detected my 1st mj
I got another one and plugged that one in. This time computer detected the new mj and I endeavered to place a call on my phone to see what happened. There was a dial tone, and a single ring before I was retured to a dial tone again. The phone was never able to continue the call.
I remember from a previous response on this forum that I should look at the regedit on my computer. The respondent showed me a sample of regedit and to do some editing there. I looked at it but it did not look like my regedit. Not knowing the regedit well enough, I did not modify it at that time.
If this is a regedit problem could someone point me in that direction again and show me what I should do there to, hopefully, get mj working again?
Thanks for any pointers.

New MJ doesn't work
Cybertek7:
Thanks for your efforts:
I tried the things you suggested but couldn't find the mjusbsp folder for deletion under the 'Documents and Settings\my name\
There was no folder named Application Data.
In the registry dir where I tried to delete the mj data, Win didn't let me do that.
In your post, you mentioned that if I couldn't do that, you said that the 'USBSTOR' registry key may have a read\onlypermissions set on it How do I change that?
Thanks

Re: New MJ doesn't work
The 'Application Data' folder is a hidden folder so you need to set the folder options for the 'my name' folder to 'Show hidden files and folders.'clumsyguy wrote: I tried the things you suggested but couldn't find the mjusbsp folder for deletion under the 'Documents and Settings\my name\

To do this, get to the Documents and Settings\my name\ folder then click on

The 'Application Data' folder will then appear in the list.
If you want to delete the mjusbsp folder, you will also have to go to that folder and set it to show hidden files, as well, as there is a hidden 'Upgrade' folder in that directory.
Hope this helps,
