Spoofer V1.1 Software

Post by longrichard »

So does the Spoofer V1.1 software still work? I can get the X*XX-XXX-XXX to load into the magic Jack, but it does not change the number. Do you have to change the MajicJack Proxy and Local MajicJack IP? I tried to use the URL to pull up that info, but everything showed as 00000. How do you get the proxy and IP? And if you do, will the spoofer work still?

Thanks.

I'm curious to know if there is still any techniques to spoof your CID? I've searched around here and haven't really found any recent posts on people discussing this topic. Does anyone know the possibilities?

So far the consensus is that it can no longer be done.

When you find a way to do it, please let us know! :)

Could anyone describe what has happened in magicjacks recent efforts/upgrades that has stopped spoofing? What has stopped previous methods and what are the possibilities for future ones?

MJ DOES pass CID NUM info on outbound calls. They just no-op'ed ability to mod o/b CID on server side.

Thanks to many rogue users mucking with this feature putting YMAX corp in potential legal jeopardy.

There still exists one obscure method for effecting a variable o/b caller-ID mutation that will NEVER be made public. Too great a chance for you rubes to f*** it up again and it requires diddling with asterisk internals which is definitely not for the faint of heart
