In the hope that someone at MJ is listening, this is what I would like to see from MJ in the future:
Hardware
A. Dual Line PC card version
B. Dual Line USB version (Compact)
C. Ethernet version to plug direct into router
D. Wifi Router with MJ built in (2 lines, 5 Ethernet ports too)
E. Option to use as a modem. Then you can tell computer manufactures to build direct into laptops.
Software
A. New tiny app, with support for skins
B. Recording feature (which includes rules on state laws. I know most)
C. Fax feature to send faxes
D. An option which allows you to check for upgrades manually, and tells you if there are any
E. Option to use as a universal modem
F. Voice Stress analysis
G. Option to shut program down, and run from start up
H. Option to remove dongle (Record Mac id to server for security)
I. Option to call forward based on caller id
J. Option to direct to different voice mail based on Caller ID
K. Allow easy spoofing
L. Allow caller id to recognize then incoming caller, then deposit your paypal account, per minute or per call; would have to be pre-setup in paypal and have a pin number.
M. Have a decent address book, backed up on MJ server too
N. Have full call log, including recordings, per call income. backed up on MJ server
O. Greetings based on location, time, timezone or caller id
P. Allow H.A.L to answer the phone
Q. Allow dating based on Zip-code and caller id. You enter your status on-line, and if you get a call from this person who is a match, then during the call, soft music plays in the background, like "Love is in the air"
R. Dating Status based on caller id. "You have a call from a 35 yr old single male, does not drink or smoke, but likes hot younger women like you!"; press 1 to continue the call, or press 2 for more juicy information, for a premium of course!
S. Suicide hot-line feature with H.A.L as the counselor
T. Quotes or music based on numbers dialed, i.e. 867-5309..
U. Advanced pre-recorded calls. Allows you to make a call and send a message to a predetermined number at a predetermined time without having to talk to the other person, i.e. break up with someone with out having to talk to them in person... "Hey dear, I need to tell you that... I met another person and, well, you don't need to come home tonight, or tomorrow, or ever thinking of it...". Press option 1 if you would like to talk to 'H.A.L'.
Let me know what you think. Hang up if you wish to complain.

Software glitch would suck
I wonder what would happen with a software or hardware problem, with Dating, quotes, and H.A.L
Woman calls, has a match and is introduced to guy, but software recognizes her caller id and instead of playing love music, plays "Jenny's got a gun", and instead of being transfered to the guy, gets transfer to H.A.L about suicide prevention.

Implementation of the features you mention, even some of the more innocuous ones, would drive our prices from $1.67 per month to $15.00 per month, just like "the big boys" of VoIP.
No, thank you. I would rather have this Yugo, with all of its foibles and its miserable set of features, than the Chevrolet you are describing. There are many VoIP companies selling Chevrolets at Chevrolet prices, and some selling Chevrolets at Buick prices, but this is the only Yugo in the market right now.
This Yugo makes and receives calls and is remarkably thrifty with gasoline. Don't expect it to remain reliable if you try to drive it at 100 miles per hour or if you try to drive it 100,000 miles in a year, and don't expect it to stop in time if you slam on the brakes. But, keep it clean and let the dealer change the oil when he wants to and it will keep running.
