Getting started

I installed MJ. Registered. Received email that account is activated. Plugged the phone to it. Am getting dial tone.

For long distance, I dialed 1 + area code and number, but nothing happens. Tried without dialing 1. Still no results. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have your MJ softphone open on your desktop to monitor what's going on? Does it say, "Ready to Call"? What happens when you use another phone to call your MJ's telephone number?

I'm guessing the OP discovered that dialing 1 before the 10 digit area code/number is a bad thing.

I am not sure. I did not see the soft phone you were telling me, so I turn off everything and started again and it worked.
