Disk Drive Powered Off

I know MJ will not work with the computer in sleep mode but will it work if the machine is powered up with the disk drive powered down?

If the hard disk's power is controlled by the Operating System, MJ will power it up if/when it needs to and will allow it to go to sleep again. If you force the hard disk to be disconnected from the OS, you may experience "unpredictable results".

Mine is setup to turn off the monitor and hard drive after 10 minutes of the computer not being used. Almost 4 month now and it works great.

Using Windows XP SP3 on a Sony Vaio Notebook.
