Dial tone and other party can't hear us.

Post by Lindon »

We've been having a problem with getting a dial tone after we place a call instead of the phone ringing. Today the magic jack was working correctly and dialing without getting a dialtone . During the call the sound quality was great until the other party suddenly couldn't hear us. It seems like its one problem after another. Our Vonage service worked perfectly before I decided to try the Magicjack. Is their any hope of getting this to work correctly , I don't want to go through the MagicJack technical support.
Thanks

Hi,
Check out the discussions on the issue. Here is a thread with recent activity http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/magi ... t4551.html

The problem seems to be if a) the destination line is busy, you just get a dialtone instead of a busy signal, or b) the MJ servers are busy and can't accommodate your call.

My phone is registered in a high traffic area (New York) and I'm in the process of learning how to switch proxies. If you are so inclined, do a search for "change proxies" or check out another site with a wiki http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/MagicJack/ ... oxy_Change

Good luck. When MJ works, it works well
