Take mj to UK??
Does anyone know if I can take MJ to UK and plug into UK (240v) computer? If so can I buy a hand held phone that would plug into MJ, UK phonejack is too big.

You can plug MJ into a 220v computer. The computer's power supply converts the voltage into what motherboards, CPUs and attached devices require (2.5v, 1.5v, etc.).Rosalyn2 wrote:Does anyone know if I can take MJ to UK and plug into UK (240v) computer? You can buy a handset with an RJ11, take it with you, and use it. You can get something cheap and small like this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1473. Or, an AT&T Trimline at Staples (about $14), or a GE Slimline at Target (about $11).

Further to what Mark says, the USB port where you plug the MJ is standardized so you don't have to worry about whether the computer is powered by 220V, 110 V or running on it's battery. The USB port is the same regardless.Rosalyn2 wrote:Does anyone know if I can take MJ to UK and plug into UK (240v) computer? I'd suggest setting up and registering your MJ before you leave (or before you send the MJ and a north american phone) to the UK. Others have reported good success making free calls back to US and Canada and to other MJ users from many countries around the world.
