Is it true?
I heard magicjack should be unplugged whenever I turn my PC on or before I reboot it. My friend says my computer will also load magicjack's software during boot up and may damage magicjack's software and drives.. Before I talked with her, I usually receive Error Broken Storage message when I boot my PC up in the morning and I always have to format it..
Is that quote from the FAQ when someone is having problems with MJ? I suspect that if you're having a problem you would want to reboot w/o MJ inserted. Like I said, mine is always inserted, the machine is up 24x7 and it has been running like this for over a year. The only time I remove the MJ dongle is when I've moved it to my laptop and the last time I did that was to try to work with the tech chat folks when I was having bad echo (which was their problem, not mine but I made them happy when I said I had echo on both machines).
Yeah, it's under "Echo".
Coz I bought my mJ last Feb 2008 and usually turn off my PC at night and turn it back ON when I wake up. But then I started to get this Error message last December. I formatted mJ's drive and it's working fine again. But then again, when I turn my PC back on, it gives me this error message again.
Do you think having the mJ plugged in during boot up really damages the drives in the long run? Now I'm thinking of purchasing another unit..

Yes, I always do shut down. But I guess it really is recommended that magicJack is unplugged before turning on the PC or restarting it coz of that quote. Why would they add it there if it is safe to just have magicJack plugged in while the computer is booting up..
Thanks anyway, I'll purchase another one. Gotta take advantage of the free rush shipping offer! XD
