Skye has a way to capture TCP/IP and other performance parameters such as jitter, delay ... while making a call. Does anything like this exist for MJ?

See http://myspeed.visualware.com/voip/index.html . If you run a test and seek help analyzing the results, please post the link to the detailed analysis. Not just copy/paste the summary info.DavidWSnow wrote:Skye has a way to capture TCP/IP and other performance parameters such as jitter, delay ... while making a call. I use a similar test for testing TCP bandwidth
I use a similar test for testing TCP bandwidth, but skype's metrics are those captured during the actual call - using the connection between youe PC and their server. That is what I was actually looking for.

What I gave you is more than bandwidth.DavidWSnow wrote:I use a similar test for testing TCP bandwidth, but skype's metrics are those captured during the actual call - using the connection between youe PC and their server. That is what I was actually looking for.
MJ doesn't have anything to test between you and their actual server.

BTW, I made the mistake of "upgrading" to Skype 4 on one of my machines and the stats you talk about (that I too thought were great) are gone. This was how I figured out the problem between myself and another Skype user when we constantly had horrible audio but I had great audio (and video) with everyone else on my contacts list. He was on an Earthlink DSL and the jitter was all over the map but never below 1000 and usually up near 2000 (normal calls are about 100).DavidWSnow wrote:I use a similar test for testing TCP bandwidth, but skype's metrics are those captured during the actual call - using the connection between youe PC and their server. I have not found the call stats on the new version - if you simply mouse over the call area as with v3.8, nothing pops up anymore. But then again, the entire Skype 4 user interface has been revamped - for the worse in my opinion.
