Problem Receiving Local Calls

Post by bobemartin »

I have searched the forum, but I can't really find an answer to my problem. My problem is that I can not receive local calls that I currently receive on my local phone service. I assume when I am able to port my current home number as my MJ number that this problem may go away. Until then I heard or read somewhere that I may be able to get from MJ a prefix that might match my current prefix, which is 304-776 or another number that is in my local coverage area. Can anyone help in this situation

DO you mean the calls don't come through at all? Or are they long distance to the caller? Are only certain people unable to call you? Do these people have the same carrier?

YMAX only has phone numbers in Clarksburg, Elkins, Fairmont, Morgantown and Wheeling. None of these is local to Charlston, and even so, not all of these Rate Centers may be available to MJ.

Where is your current MJ phone number located? What phone company customers are able/unable to call that number? What message do those who cannot get through hear from their phone company?
