I have spoken to the reps on three different occasions ... this does actually seem to be in the works ... hope it comes soon, as I have to use the eyeBeam to utilize the call transfer function. The voice quality on the hard-phone, with mj plugged in, is much better than the SIP soft-phone and using headset and mic.
Anyone has suggestions on how to improve the quality of sound received and sent?

If CounterPath haven't messed it up, there is a TigerJet interface built into EyeBeam. Although nobody has reported success in doing so yet (you may be the first), you may be able to use your MJ dongle as the physical interface to your EyeBeam, and have a strong working combination.
Here's what you need to try.
1. Turn off Autorun in your OS. This will prevent MJ's softphone from starting up automatically when you plug in the dongle.
2. If the MJ softphone is running (which it isn't based on your comment that you are using the EyeBeam instead), shut it down.
3. Plug in the MJ and confirm that the MJ softphone does not start up.
4. Start up EyeBeam.
5. Go to EyeBeam's configuration panel and look for (and select) TigerJet Audio Device (or equivalent) for both Audio Device and Ring Device.
6. Try it out.
Good luck.

It Works!!!
When the call comes in, the phone does not ring, only the pc speaker. When I am dialing out, the phone dialpad does not work .. I have to enter info into the softfone. I have to do the send and end via the eyeBeam ... but ... now I can talk via the phone, and the quality of conversation is as expected ... much nicer ... thanks mberlant.
I had tried doing that previously, selecting the tigerjet option, but it did not work, because I had the mj plugged in!
I have two mj #s programmed into eyeBeam and the third, I was using as a regular dongle plug-in ... perhaps that is why it was not working.
Now with autorun disabled ... it works!! man
Now I will extract the SIP for the 3rd mj as well ... and then I can choose to have the outgoing caller ID of my choice by just choosing the accoutn number ... nice !!

Now that you have that much working (You ARE the first to get this far.), please visit either tigerjet.com or cuphone.com to see if there is a newer driver for the newer CounterPath releases. If there is, you should be able to add the ringer and the DTMF. First, though, I would look again for the parameter in EyeBeam that sends the ringer information to the TigerJet instead of to the PC speaker. That part should work already, though I am not really surprised that the hookswitch and DTMF don't work.
In any case, congratulations!
