If I call a number and put them on hold, they will hear intermission music, I can resume and both parties can hear/talk.
If they call me and I put them on hold they hear intermission music and when I hit resume, intermission music goes off and a hissing or static is replaced on their side. I can hear them, but they cannot hear me. If I put them back on hold they won't hear the intermission music anymore either just the static. I still can hear them.
Again to recap;
1. If I call them, I can put them on hold and resume with no troubles
2. If they call me and I put them on hold they will hear intermission music, but when I resume intermission music is replaced by hissing or static on their end, I can hear them, but they cannot hear me!
Anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this?
Cannot bring callers back from hold

I thought i responded to this. But maybe my post got delted? I would try to hit flash a few times. And also instead of hitting hold.. Use the mute function in the phone.
duffmon,
Flash on the soft phone? Not sure what you mean.
But won't help me with 3 way-calling!
This is where I first saw the trouble that I need to fix. Yes, if I want to just put one caller on hold; I have done this, but if it is suppose to be able to put someone on hold and if it works for others, then I want to know the answer to why mind isn't working. Not a “Just don't use it" for an answer!
Customer buys a car... finds out the parking break doesn't work.... takes it to the dealer and the mechanic comes back and says; Just don't use it... park the car against the curb or carry a rock with you and put it behind or in front of the rear wheel when you park.
I know you are trying to help! But really; PLEEEAAAASSSE!

As far as the 'flash' on the softphone......it's the green send button that you would use to place a caller on hold. Most cordless phones, the call button is green and also says 'flash'.
Not sure about other methods, but MJ states that both callers must call you in order to properly use three way calling. I've never tried calling one person and having another call me and do the three way call.
If this issue is with using your phone, there have been reports that the tone feature built into some phones don't work well with MJ. One case that I've seen is some people have probs getting their VM's since their phones * button doesn't get seen by the MJ VM system.
If someone calls me and I put them on HOLD, when I click RESUME it gives me a dial tone, and the other person hears no more music but stays connected...but there is no way I can get them back on the line because it is disconnected on my end..... what is the deal with this? I have tried on other computers, I have had others call me from cell phones, lan lines in different states....HOLD button works but RESUME disconnects call!!! Very frustrating
usnswcc,
Right on! You have callers call you and put them on hold and you can never get them back.
Three-way calling my @ss! Not for me I guess.
Now when I make calls the persons on the other end hear annoying hissing; say it sound like rain or static! Worked great for a year!
Now I cannot access the phone from the menu drop down there is no phone option. Only the Volume/headset control! So now I cannot use the phone to call with. (Again, worked with this phone for a year!)!
Guest in another year I wouldn’t be able to use at all. And getting help; IMPOSSIBLE!
My friends that were impressed, now are laughing at me; what do you expect they laugh. Face it, you were taken; lols.
Looks like they were right.

HOLD not bringing back the first caller ...
Not always having an incoming call work ...
Flash to call waiting call then back again not working ...

I can't get callers back from HOLD or CALL WAITING. I chatted with a tech and they said the problem was on their end - (actually they said the problem was IN their end but...)...
They said they would report it to their engineers. Everything else works as far as I can tell. I'm just trying to test everything out before I drop my other VOIP service.
