SPA 2101 or 1001 Outbound CID
The outbound callerid show just the number twice instead of my name and the number, ie:
2345678901
2345678901
How can I get this to be
My Name
2345678901
Under line 1 I have put in my name for the CID but still only shows the number. Any suggestions welcome.
Side note the poll should have been SPA 2102 not SPA 2101
2345678901
2345678901

No CID Name
What people are trying to tell you is that the MJ service does not handle CID Name--no matter what your equipment can do. MJ doesn't even know it's there.

xlite part 2
I should mention that I am using x-lite 3.0 (OSX) by counterpath
X-Lite works like your cell phone. When you receive an incoming call the X-Lite softphone will check the incoming phone number against your personal phone book and display the phone book entry's name if a match is found.
Like each one of the other replies said, there is no Caller Name function in the magicJack service. Anything you put into the Display Name field of any client (including MJ's own SJPhone softphone, if you were to manually add it) would not be accepted/handled/forwarded by MJ's SIP server.
p.s. What is the value of having the poll?

Xlite outgoing not incoming CID
I understand that xlite will find the name that matches the number within the phonebook for incoming calls.
What I am trying to get across is that I can change the name on the outgoing CID with xlite, then call a local number and the name on the local phone will change to correspond with the changes that have been made within xlite.
I have done this again to make sure that things have not changed here on my end.
I guess what I am wondering is what does xlite do for the cname to get through that a spa or a pap2 doesn't do! And how can we change this?

I believe that you are the first person here to observe this phenomenon. Could you please explain a little more about your environment with regard to MJ? For example, what proxy server are you using? What exchange is your MJ phone number in (or, at least, what Area Code)? Anything else on those lines that you can think about would be helpful in confirming a new exploit or exposing why you are seeing what you do despite MJ.
Also, what kind of "local number" are you calling during this experiment? If it is another MJ, that would explain your observation, since MJ-to-MJ calls link the two ends directly, bypassing the POTS network.

CName on mj
I used the magic jack utilities 1.6 to retrieve my information. Then on my intel macbook with Mac osx 10.5.6, I downloaded x-lite 3.0 direct from countersoft. I entered in the information as follows
Display Name: My Name [This is the one that I can change for outbound CID]
Username: EXXXXXXXXX01
Password: 20 Digits
Authorization: EXXXXXXXXX01
Domain: 216.234.69.8
Proxy: proxy1.chicago.talk4free.com:5070
Dial Plan: a\a.T|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|#1\a\a.T;match=1;prestrip=2;
Area code is 234-525
I called from my x-lite (MJ setup) to a different voip provider to get the outgoing CID.
I do not have a second MJ to test MJ-MJ calls.
x-lite MJ-POTS does not have CID either.
I guess that solves the problem then. Sorry for getting peoples hopes up.... I wish I could get outbound CID though

Anyone have setup MagcJack in a Sipura 1001?
I already have the ID /password using PassWordFinder 2.2. and guess the proxy to be: proxy1.newyork.talk4free.com (since I live in New York) I changed to the IP of the same. Then set it up as line 2 and (I have GalaxyVoice on line 1). It doesn’t work. Changed other settings like the default codec but of course many other settings might need change.
Anyone have it working on the Sipura 1001? What are the basic/advanced settings?
