unexpected dial "beep" during calls while using MJ

Post by desidude2000 »

I've been using MJ with a PAP2 for a few weeks now. it works fine. one strange issue i have though is that i would be having a conversation with somebody and all of a sudden i would hear a "beep" or a "bleep" sound (like someone pressed one of the numbers on the keypad). i know i didn't press anything, and i've asked the party on the other end if they pressed anything accidentally, and they haven't either. this happens with not just one caller, but all callers, so i don't think anyone is pressing anything.

anyone else notice such behavior during a call? it's very annoying.

Did any of the advice in this thread or this thread or this thread help? I especially like the last one because the solution involved reducing the talk path gain.

The key is the gain settings mentioned in the third link.
