spa2012 wan routing

Post by roddy »

Hey gang, I can now make phone calls using my SPA 2012 (thanks to mberlant). However I am having trouble connecting to it using the WAN port.

I have no problem connecting through the LAN(ethernet port) + laptop using http://192.168.0.1/advanced. My physical configuration is as follows;

Cable modem -->Linksys Broadband Router (vianet VoIP service) ---> Linksys Wireless'N' Router --->SPA-2012 via WAN(internet port).

I'd like to be able to configure the SPA wirelessly with my laptop.

When accessing your SPA from the WAN side you must use its WAN address, 192.168.1.104. Are you doing that?

Route|Status|System Status my current ip is set to 192.168.1.100. Neither that numer nor the 192.168.1.104 I just tried work.
I believe the SPA is set to DHCP (if that makes any diffrence)
Isn't current ip the address I should be using?

On the Router|WAN Setup page, please confirm what port number you have assigned for remote WAN access. If it is not set to 80, you will have to direct your browser manually to whatever port you have selected.

I stumbeld upon the answer by trial and error. 'Enable WAN Web Server' was set to no. It is now set to yes and can access SPA through my WAN. Thanks again bro!
