The person who is calling you, is it a local call for them to call your MJ number? If so, they don't need to dial "1" before the number. Using my land line, if I call a number in my local calling area and start with a "1", I get a recording that "it's not necessary to dial a 1 for this number, please hang up and try again".melon44 wrote:.dialed 1 & area code and number still get recording
Also it sounds like the recording your caller hears is generated by their phone service and not MJ. So the problem likely originates from the caller's end.

This frequently a problem when the MJ exchange (the 3 numbers after the area code) is new. The other phone companies and cell carriers have to 'fix' their software so that they recognize the exchange as valid. Have your caller notify their phone company of the problem (and your exchange) and they can fix it in a day or two
